Bayern Munich's Toni Kroos has been named the Bundesliga's Player of the Month for October, after scoring six goals and assisting three in his side's four-game winning run.

The German international, who is also known as "Toni", was awarded the award by the league's governing body, the Bundesliga, on Wednesday night.

He scored the winner in Bayern's 2-1 win over Schalke on Sunday, and added another goal in their 4-0 victory over Wolfsburg last weekend.

Kroos' form has helped Bayern to stay at the top of the table,Football Dream Stage with five points ahead of second-placed Borussia Dortmund.

But he says that it's not just his own performance that has been impressive - it's the way he passes data to team-mates during matches.

"During games, I pass information to my teammates about where we're going to play next," he said.

"I try to give them a sense of direction and help them make decisions."

Kroos believes that this approach helps the team to perform better.

"We have a lot of talented players here, but sometimes they don't know what to do," he told reporters.

"But when I'm passing information to them, they can use it to improve their game."

Kroos' method of passing data to team-mates during matches has already earned him praise from his teammates.

"I think he's doing a great job," said Bayern defender Jerome Boateng.

"He's always trying to help us out and give us ideas on how to improve our game."
